Meghan Cary Makes Her Way Back To The Mermaid!

There’s no place like home for critically-acclaimed Philly artist Meghan Cary. On the heels of two shows in San Miguel, Mexico and leading up to her much-anticipated Midwest tour, which will take her through Chicago, Pittsburgh and Boston, the singer-songwriter will be performing an exclusive show at The Mermaid March 1at 8 PM with her band Analog Gypsies.

During the show, Cary will perform a selection of songs from her latest album Sing Louderas well as a few fan favorites. The record, which debuted among the top 10 on the US / International Folk DJ Radio Charts, is being played at mainstream radio in more than 40 markets throughout the country and in Canada.

Her debut album earned her Billboardmagazine’s “Critic’s Choice Award” for “Best Newcomer” and her raw honesty and ability to connect with her audience has captivated fans for more than two decades. Now, with the recent release of her latest album Sing Louder, she has inspired others to raises their voices with her to create an authentic connection through music.

“There’s nothing like a hometown crowd,” said Cary. ”I’m looking forward to kicking off this month on the road right here with my Philly music family at one of our favorite local haunts, the Mermaid. It’s always a party at the Maid!”

Opening up the show is Roger Street Friedman, a New York singer-songwriter whose latest album Shoot The Moonreached #2 on the Roots Music Report's Americana Album chart and spent over 25 weeks in the top 20. He will be accompanied by Matt Schneider on upright bass.

The show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $15 at the door.

The Mermaid is located at Mermaid Lane and Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hill.
