Mt Airy's Ryan Long Beats Other Philadelphian In 14th 'Jeopardy!' Win
The Mt. Airy rideshare driver was beaten to the buzzer by another Philadelphian to answer a question about the Phillies on Wednesday's game.
MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA — Mt. Airy's own Ryan Long is becoming a fan favorite among "Jeopardy!" viewers, as the stoic rideshare driver continues his winning streak.
But on Wednesday, Long ironically didn't get a chance to answer a question about his own city, which is answered by — wait for it — another Philadelphian.
Long has been the "Jeopardy!" champion for 14 games as of Thursday morning to win $260,100.

While he won Wednesday's game, extending his tenure as champ, he wasn't quick enough on the buzzer for a Philadelphia-specific question.
A $400 clue in the "Ballpark Fun" category read as such:

"In an unexpected crossover, the green Phanatic supporting this team since 1978 has a kids' book with a 'Galapagos Gang' of animals."
Of course we all know the answer, and Long most assuredly did: the Phillies.
But it was competitor Vanessa Williams, an assistant dean also from Philadelphia, who beat Long to the buzzer.
Both Long and Williams let out sighs, however Long's was more of a sigh of anguish and Williams of relief.
In the end, Williams lost it all on the Final Jeopardy question. Long and competitor Meagan Morrow also missed the question.
However, Long, who was in second place going into Final Jeopardy, still made it out on top as based on his and Morrow's bets, giving him enough money to continue his streak and bringing his winnings to $260,100.
Long will appear on for his 15th "Jeopardy!" game at 7 p.m. Thursday on ABC.
