No Changes at Demolition Site
The former McGarrity Car Dealership lot is being turned into a grocery store.
Just three weeks ago, rubble and steel girders littered the former McGarrity car dealership located at the corner of Germantown Avenue and West Hartwell Lane.
Now, the lot has been turned into a dirt patch, and it's been that way for awhile.
Tucked away at the back of the lot is all of the rubble that is still being hauled away.
The lot is slated to become a Fresh Market grocery store with condos above it.
Fresh Market is a grocery store chain with more than 100 locations in 20 states.
According to the chain's website, the founders wanted to open a store that was different than the tradition large, industrial grocery store.
The project is scheduled for completion in spring or summer 2014.
