Philly's Ryan Long Ends 16-Game 'Jeopardy!' Win Streak With $299,400

The Mt. Airy-based rideshare driver truly did make Philly proud and will do so again in the upcoming Tournament of Champions.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA — After more than three weeks of dominating the "Jeopardy!" stage with his calm, collected demeanor and vast knowledge, Mt. Airy's Ryan Long is champion no more.

Long amassed a whopping $299,400 in "Jeopardy!" prized money over 16 wins.

His run came to an end during Monday night's game.

Uncharacteristically, Long began to trail in the Double Jeopardy round and went into Final Jeopardy in third place.

Current champion Eric Ahasic, a meteorologist from Minneapolis, was the only contestant to get the final clue in the Greek Mythology category.

But, his time on the stage was incredibly memorable, especially for the Philadelphia area.

According to the website TheJeopardyFan.com, Long's record was 405 correct responses and 64 incorrect responses.

Long went 14 for 22 on Daily Doubles and totaled $23,000 with his correct Daily Double responses.

As for Final Jeopardy, his record was 8 for 17.

His first buzzer ratio was 411/963.

The 2022 "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions will air in November. Contestants set to compete are Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Jonathan Fisher, and of course Long.
