Six Injured in School Bus Crash in West Philly

Four children were injured when a school bus crashed into a SEPTA bus near Warren Street and Fairmount Avenue.

Six people, including four children, have been taken to a nearby hospital after a school bus backed into a SEPTA bus in West Philadelphia Wednesday morning, A SEPTA spokesperson confirmed. An initial report from Fox 29 said five children were injured, but SEPTA confirmed the number at four.

According to the spokesperson, the crash occurred at approximately 8:10 a.m. near the intersection of Warren Street and Fairmount Avenue in West Philly. Two passengers on the Route 31 bus and four children on the school bus reported non-life threatening injuries. The adults were taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, and the children were taken to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia police are investigating the scene, and no transit delays are expected by SEPTA.
