Woman Killed In Germantown Hit-And-Run Crash: Reports

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a woman Thursday night in Germantown.

According to Fox 29, the incident occurred at about 11:50 p.m. on the 5400 block of Greene Street in Germantown.

Authorities said a Chevy SUV going north on Greene crossed over into oncoming traffic, jumped the curb, smashed into a utility pole, then continued on the sidewalk where it struck a woman, Action News reports.

Four people got out of the vehicle after it drove about 50 more feet and left the vehicle abandoned, according to NBC10.
