PA Juvenile Faces Terrorism Charges After Online Threat: Report

The teen boy threatened to use weapons of mass destruction, the FBI and local police charge.

ADAMS TOWNSHIP, PA — A Butler County juvenile faces terrorism charges after threatening to use weapons of mass destruction, according to a report.

Adams Township police and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Pittsburgh office arrested a teen boy Friday morning, WPXI reported. The accused person faces state charges of terrorism, threats to use a weapon of mass destruction, and terrorist threats, according to WPXI.

The juvenile made online threats which FBI and Adams Police officials uncovered in a joint investigation, the report said. Police urged residents to report anything suspicious.

The teen will be transferred to a juvenile detention center in Ohio, WPXI reported.
