Cranberry Fire Co. To Get Significant Upgrades Via Federal Grant
The Cranberry Volunteer Fire Company will receive more than $800,000 in federal funding over the next four years.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — The township's volunteer fire company has received an $836 federal grant that will be used to bolster firefighting capabilities through June 2027.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency grant is designed to aid firefighting organizations increase or maintain the number of trained, front-line firefighters, help volunteer fire departments meet industry standards and work toward 24-hour staffing.
The money can be used to cover personal protective equipment costs, tuition and training assistance, stipend staffing and marketing.

“This grant will allow us to provide additional incentives that are crucial in attracting and maintaining new talent,” said Scott Garing, Fire and Emergency Services Chief.
“Through the hard work of our team, our organization has grown tremendously over the last few years as we’ve become more stable and able to respond quickly when called upon. This award provides significant proof that we are moving in the right direction.”
