Cranberry Goes Pink To Promote Breast Cancer Awareness
The township has scheduled a variety of initiatives in October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — The township and its employees are spending Breast Cancer Awareness Month by bringing attention to the disease, promoting early detection and supporting those in the community impacted with the affliction.
As part of promoting increased awareness, the municipal center is illuminated pink for all of October. Other initiatives include:
- The Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road, is illuminated pink for the entire month of October.
- Cranberry first responders are wearing pink bands on their badges.
- Township employees will donate an amount of their choice to wear pink clothing on Oct. 18, , with proceeds benefiting a local breast cancer charity.
- A township leadership team will meet with a UPMC leadership team to collaborate on marking the importance of cancer awareness.
Additionally, local events that mark breast cancer awareness will be highlighted on the township's social media pages.
