Cranberry To Host Househould Hazardous Waste Collection Event

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Have any product around your house that are flammable, infectious, corrosive, poisonous or potentially hazardous that you'd like to get rid of? If so, your in luck.

Noble Environmental will host a household hazardous waste collection event Oct. 26 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the township public works building on Route 19.

Accepted materials include aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, bleach, brake fluid, bug sprays, cleaning products, degreasers, driveway sealers, fertilizer, flammable liquids, fluorescent bulbs, gasoline, kerosene, fuel additives, lawn chemicals, mercury, motor oil, pest poison, paint, oven cleaner, paint stripper, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, compressed gas cylinders, stains/finishes, starter fluid, transmission fluid, turpentine, and weed killer.

Electronics accepted include computers, printers, phones, window AC units, dehumidifiers, mini-fridges, microwaves, laptops, gaming devices, and any electronic device with a cord, screen, or circuit board.

Smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, ammunition, explosive materials, compressed gas cylinders, tires, pharmaceuticals, syringes, medical waste, and devices containing mercury are among the prohibited items.
