Cranberry Man Pleads Guilty To Capitol Riot Charge
A Cranberry man is now awaiting sentencing for his participation in the January 2021 insurrection.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Cranberry man has pleaded guilty to one of four federal charges he faced for participating in the U.S. Capitol riot in January 2021.
Jordan Bonenberger, 27, pleaded guilty to a charge of parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. The charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison, five years of probation and a $5,000 fine.
Bonenberger is scheduled to be sentenced in September.

In a plea agreement he accepted in April, Bonenberger admitted to walking to the Capitol building after attending the protest of the 2020 presidential election results.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, more than 1,033 defendants have been arrested in nearly all 50 states and the District of Columbia since the insurrection.
