Cranberry Refuse Pickup Rates Rise; Another Increase Looming
Cranberry residents should get used to garbage pickup rate hikes as they will be occurring regularly. Get the details here.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Garbage pickup rates rose this month, with another hike slated for November.
The higher rates are part of a new agreement reached earlier this year between the township and Vogel Disposal Service Inc.The five-year contract includes yearly increases from Vogel. Rates will be adjusted to reflect these increases.
The rates in effect from now until November:

- 35-gallon cart: $27.50
- 64-gallon cart: $28.85
- 96-gallon cart: $29.75
- No cart/bag service only: $20.62
Vogel has handled refuse collection in the township for the past decade.
The township solicited bids from Vogel and other companies in February. According to township officials, all of the bids submitted came with rate hikes for residents.
