Cranberry Residents Told To Shelter In Place
Police are advising Cranberry residents to shelter in place.

UPDATED, 3:40 p.m.: As of 3:30 p.m. July 2, there is no longer an active threat and the shelter-in-place is canceled. Law enforcement officials will release additional information later.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have told township residents to shelter in place and lock their doors while they search for a "suspicious person" wearing a Washington football shirt and/or hat.
Police request people call 911 only for sightings of suspicious person.

The shelter in place advisory came shortly after police acknowledged they had a presence in the area of Glen Eden, Freshcorn, Powell and Unionville roads and asked the public to avoid that area.
