Cranberry Road Rage Incident Leads To Drug Charges

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A Cranberry man stands accused of brandishing a stolen weapon during a recent road rage incident in the township and also had crack cocaine in his vehicle when the incident occurred.

Jairo Cardona-Mancia, 23, has been charged with theft, carrying a firearm without a license, drug sales, disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license.

Police on June 1 were dispatched to the intersection of Route 228 and Route 19 for a report of a vehicle, later identified as being driven by Cardona-Mancia, nearly striking another vehicle on Route 228. When the other driver honked his horn, Cardona-Mancia allegedly brandished and waved the weapon.

When Cardona-Mancia was pulled over near Cranberry Mall, police found the gun in the front passenger seat's door pouch. The weapon was reported stolen in Louisville, KY in 2022, according to court documents.

After Cardona-Mancia allowed police to search the vehicle further, suspected crack cocaine was discovered.

Adding to Cardona-Mancia's legal woes: He was driving with a suspended license when he was arrested.

Cardona-Mancia currently is being held in the Butler County Prison. He faces a preliminary hearing on June 21.
