Cranberry Woman Charged In Boyfriend's Shooting Death
The woman is accused of fatally shooting the man early Sunday.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A township woman is in the Butler County Prison after being charged with shooting and killing her boyfriend on Sunday.
Amanda Hughes, 26, is accused of killing Anthony Smith shortly after midnight on Sunday in a Brandywine Drive home.
Hughes called 911 and told police she fired a weapon, police said.

Police responding to the call found Smith wounded inside the home. He was taken to UPMC Cranberry and then transported to Allegheny General Hospital on Pittsburgh's North Side, where he died a short time later.
Hughes faces once charge of criminal homicide, according to court documents.
