Nation's First Public Lands Store Opens In Cranberry

Dick's Sporting Goods is holding a grand opening celebration this weekend for its first Public Lands store in Cranberry Square.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA —Pittsburgh-based Dick's Sporting Goods is holding a weekend of festivities to celebrate the grand opening of its first Public Lands store in Cranberry Square. The outdoors-themed store opens Friday.

Local bands will play throughout the weekend with national acts Portugal. The Man and Brittany Howard performing Saturday. Food trucks and Stick City Brewing will be on hand as well. Demonstrations also will be available from Brooks, Smartwool, Nemo, Black Diamond, La Sportiva, Altra, Salomon, Jack Wolfskin, Camelbak, Nikwax, Chaco and others.

Public Lands carries outdoor and lifestyle apparel, footwear, and equipment brands. The store also will support the local outdoor community via conservation initiatives and access and equity-based efforts, with one percent of all Public Lands sales going back into local and national
conservation programs.

The 50,000 square foot store features a 30-foot rock wall, an in-store gear repair and rental department and specialized shops dedicated to various outdoor activities including biking, camping, fishing, paddling, skiing, climbing, running and hiking.
