CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A Cranberry woman was sentenced to30 to 66 months in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to felony theft charges in two cases.

Kimberly Cook, 59, stole $73,344 while working at former Steelers player Hine's Ward's now-defunct Table 86 restaurant in Seven Fields. She also took $80,000 from Generational Dental Associates of Cranberry Township while working there as a clerk.

The Butler Eagle reported that Cook also must pay restitution to Howard Shiller, who co-owned the restaurant, and to the dental practice.

Police said Cook was a server at the restaurant and took cash payments from patrons that she rang up as gift cards so she could pocket the money. At the dental office, police said she stole cash payments from patients and entered credit card payments.

Cook originally was charged with the restaurant thefts in 2017, but delayed legal proceedings by falsely claiming she had suffered a stroke and was convalescing in a rehabilitation facility, authorities said.
