5 Reasons to 'Like' Dormont-Brookline Patch on Facebook
Your local news is on social media, too.

The Dormont-Brookline Patch Facebook page just hit 1,520 "likes," so we thought we'd take this time to offer five reasons why you should join that crowd.
1. We break some stories on social media. Often, before we even write an article, we tease that story on Facebook and Twitter (yes—Dormont-Brookline Patch also has a Twitter feed). Hear what's coming before it actually comes.
2. Stories often appear on Facebook before they appear in our daily newsletters. This applies not only to hard news but also to some feature stories that we're finishing during the middle of a day.
3. Your friends are doing it. In this case, literally, your Facebook "friends" might already like us. See which Patch stories they're sharing, and they'll see which ones you're sharing.
4. Some conversations exist only on Facebook. Fan of our comments section? Some readers leave all or some of their comments only on our Facebook page.
5. Leave a public message. It's not just our editors who can leave something on our Facebook wall. You can, too.
