- The 80th annual Firemen's Carnival starts each night this week, Monday through Friday, at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the Castle Shannon Fire Department.
- If you park in the Junction Lot in Dormont to go to work, be aware that it's closing to the public on Tuesday, and the new parking lot across the street in the 3200 block of West Liberty will open. This is part of the land swap agreement between the borough and #1 Cochran.
- A two-day basketball camp is happening at Seton LaSalle High School this week to benefit a Whitehall boy with Hodgkin's lymphoma. The camp is open to students in fourth through eighth grade.
- It's open mic night at Cannon Coffee! Join in or come to listen. Starts at 7 p.m. every Wednesday at the coffee shop on Brookline Boulevard.
- The St. Catherine of Sienna Summer Festival starts Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. Games, food, basket raffles, bingo and more are part of this great summer community event.
