Keystone Oaks Gym Renamed in Honor of Coach Dave Kling
Kling, a Keystone Oaks coach who was himself an alum, died in December.

When students return to Keystone Oaks High School this fall, they'll find a new name over the school's gymnasium.
The Keystone Oaks School Board voted in June to rename the gymnasium the David D. Kling Memorial Gymnasium, in honor of the beloved coach and alumnus who died earlier this year.
Kling was a social studies teacher in the Keystone Oaks School District and coached a number of sports, including wrestling, football, track and golf. He received several state hall-of-fame designations as a coach, and is the fourth most-winning wrestling coach in WPIAL history.
When Kling died in December, teachers and former students were quick to share positive words and memories about him.
John Durham, a former Keystone Oaks football coach and retired math teacher who worked with Kling on and off the field, said Kling was nothing short of inspirational to teachers as well as students. Former district Superintendent William Urbanek echoed those sentiments. To read more of their comments, click here.
According to the Keystone Oaks School District website, the gym's name is set to change in September, or October at the latest. The district is open to the public's feedback on the matter.
