DUI Arrests, Incidents Reported By Central Bucks Regional Police

During November, police issued citations for public drunkenness and public urination and charged individuals with stealing political signs.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department, which serves Doylestown Borough, Chalfont Borough, and New Britain Borough, reported the following incidents and arrests in November:

November 1

  • DRUG VIOLATION, Maple Avenue (Harbor View), Doylestown Borough. A 58-year-old Doylestown woman was charged after police responded to Harbor View for complaint of a resident in possession of a controlled substance.
  • PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS, 442 N. Main Street (Planet Fitness), Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old man from Doylestown was cited for public drunkenness after he was found unconscious in the locker room. Police said he presented with slurred speech, an odor of alcoholic beverage and was uncooperative. Warrington Ambulance provided medical assistance.

  • DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, E. Butler Avenue and Sandy Ridge Drive, New Britain Borough. A 35-year-old man from Pipersville was cited for DUI following a one-vehicle motorcycle accident. Police said the man had been traveling with another motorcycle and stopped to assist at the scene of the accident. He presented with an odor of alcohol, slurred speech, glassy bloodshot eyes and lethargic movements. After failing field sobriety tests, the man refused a legal blood draw.
  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT – Doylestown Borough. Three individuals were cited for public urination in separate incidents on the same date: A 22 year old Doylestown man, a 23-year-old Doylestown man and a 25 year old Lansdale man.

November 3

  • PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS – E. State Street and Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old man from Doylestown was cited after police found him passed out on the sidewalk. The man presented with a strong odor of alcohol and heavily slurred speech.
  • MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT – East Street, Doylestown Borough. Jeffrey J. Grace, 52, of Philadelphia, stole a white Honda Accord from the parking lot at Pizza Village. Grace was arrested by Warrington Township Police within 15 minutes of the theft. He was taken into custody on a former warrant, remanded to Bucks County Prison and a detainer on CBPRD charges.

  • ORDINANCE VIOLATION – 100 N. Main Street (Justice Center), Doylestown Borough. A 45-year-old Philadelphia man was charged after he was found to have a small amount of marijuana while at the Justice Center.

November 9

  • DRUG VIOLATIONS - 19 N. Main Street (Chambers), Doylestown Borough. A 28-year-old man from Jamison was charged with drug violations for allegedly selling marijuana in the establishment. The man was taken into custody, arraigned, and released on $50,000 bail with conditions.
  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT – 425 S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. An 18-year-old man from Doylestown and a juvenile man from Doylestown were cited for stealing political signs on Oct. 31.

November 10

  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT – 37 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old man from Howell, New Jersey, was cited for urinating in public.

November 16

  • PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS – Veterans Lane, Doylestown Borough. A 63-year-old man from Doylestown was cited for public drunkenness after police observed lacerations on his face as a result of falling, behavior consistent with being under the influence, and empty wine bottles next to him.

November 17

  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT – 21 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Two men - a 22-year-old from Warminster and a 22-year-old from Hammonton, N.J., were cited for public urination in separate incidents.

November 19

  • SIMPLE ASSAULT, TERRORISTIC THREATS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, HARASSMENT – 375 W. Court Street (CB West), Doylestown Borough. A 16-year-old juvenile from Doylestown was charged following police investigation of an incident between students. A Juvenile Allegation was filed.

November 20

  • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY – 425 S. Main Street (Wawa) Doylestown Borough. A 67-year-old man from Arlington, Va., was charged with stealing political signs posted on Wawa property.
  • TAMPER/FABRICATE EVIDENCE, DRUG VIOLATIONS – Shewell Avenue, Doylestown Borough. A 52-year-old man from Warminster was charged after police responded to a reckless driver causing a traffic accident. The man presented with an odor of marijuana and when the officer inquired about it, the man produced the substance. He then destroyed evidence by eating it.

November 23

  • UNDERAGE DRINKING – 511 East Street (East Street Shopping Center), Doylestown Borough. Two 17-year-old male juveniles from Doylestown and an 18-year-old woman from Chalfont were charged with underage drinking after police investigated suspicious activity in the shopping center parking lot.

November 24

  • DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE – E. State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old Bethleham man was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The man presented with an odor of alcohol and red, glassy eyes. After failing a field sobriety test, a legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT – W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old Cherry Hill, New Jersey, man was cited for public urination.

November 28

  • PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS – N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 23-year-old Chalfont man was cited for public drunkenness after he was found sitting on the ground vomiting. The man presented with heavily slurred speech and unstable gait with an odor of alcohol.
  • DISORDERLY CONDUCT (DISTURBING PEACE) – N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 21 year old Doylestown man was cited for disturbing the peace following a traffic stop of a motorcycle making excessive and unreasonable noise in a residential area in the early hours of the morning.

November 30

  • DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE – N. Main and Union Streets, Doylestown Borough. A 35-year-old Lansdale man was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for a non-operating passenger side headlight and erratic driving. The suspect failed field sobriety tests and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

November 8

  • THEFT – N. Broad Street and Atkinson Drive, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole HVAC piping from a construction site.
  • THEFT – 456 N. Main Street (Target), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole make up items totaling $207.
  • THEFT OF BICYCLE – 625 N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a black/dark grey 26” men’s mountain bike.

November 10

  • THEFT - Unknown person(s) stole a 2017 black Hyundai Tuscan from a resident’s driveway. The vehicle doors were unlocked and key fob inside. The vehicle was recovered out of Philadelphia.

November 12

  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – Industrial Drive, New Britain Borough. Unknown person(s) shattered glass door on new construction.

November 14

  • THEFT OF BICYCLE – 51 W. Court Street (Villa Capri), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a men’s “lefty” Mountain Bike with a silver, black and orange frame worth $700.

November 21

  • THEFT – 555 N. Broad Street (Center Square Towers), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person stole a delivered package from the building’s mailroom.

November 22

  • THEFT – W. Hillcrest Avenue, Chalfont Borough. Unknown person(s) stole two delivered packages containing over $1,100 of products.

November 27

  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 25 E. State Street (Siren Records), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) vandalized the second-floor common area with food thrown on carpet/walls and broken glass.

November 28

  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 16 S. Main Street (Doylestown Bookshop), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) broke a large pane of glass in one of the front displays.
