Man Sought For Questioning In December Aggravated Assault In Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Police are attempting to identify an individual connected to an aggravated assault that happened on Dec. 27 in Doylestown Borough.
Police said the individual is being sought for questioning in connection with an incident that happened just after midnight on North Main Street.
The man is described as a white male with brown hair wearing a black hoodie and sneakers with a zig zag across the side.

The incident involved a fight between two men that a police officer had attempted to break up, but ended up being assaulted.

According to police, the officer was attacked from behind, was taken to the ground, was punched in the head, had his head slammed against a sidewalk and was bit in the arm.
A 21-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct for fighting, and public drunkenness.
