Traffic Stops Lead To Drug Arrests: Warrington Crimes
A driver and a passenger were arrested after a traffic stop yielded narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests.
Ambler Woman Faces DUI, Drug Charges
- A 44-year-old Ambler woman is facing multiple charges after a search of her car during a DUI traffic stop in early December yielded narcotics and drug paraphernlia. On December 7, a police officer observed several motor vehicle violations and initiated a traffic stop. A registration check revealed the vehicle’s registration was suspended. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment. The woman was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests, which she was unable to complete. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The woman was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and later released.

- A 43-year-old Philadelphia woman is facing charges for driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics and drug parapheralia. On December 19, an officer observed multiple motor vehicle violations on a vehicle traveling on Bristol Road at Easton Road and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A records check also revealed the passenger, a 66-year-old Bensalem man, had a suspended license. During the stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of narcotics and additional drug paraphernalia. The driver and passenger were placed under arrest and transported to the station where they were processed and released.
