Margaret Atwood Live Cinema Event To Be Held In Doylestown
The County Theater and Doylestown Bookshop will present Margaret Atwood, Live in Cinemas this Tuesday, Sept. 10.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The County Theater and Doylestown Bookshop will present Margaret Atwood, Live in Cinemas Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 pm. at the local theater. The event is in conjunction with Atwood publishing her highly anticipated new novel, The Testaments—a sequel to her most celebrated work, The Handmaid’s Tale.
The Handmaid’s Tale Producer Daniel Wilson will be on hand to discuss optioning Atwood's book in the 1980s, early attempts to adapt it into a film version, the current success of the hit TV series, and the possible future of Atwood's newest book, ‘The Testaments’.
In a unique live event, cinema audiences will be treated to an evening in conversation with Atwood about the release of the new book, her long and distinguished career, and why she has returned to her seminal story of TheHandmaid’s Tale.
The evening will include readings from the new book by several high-profile actors as well as filmed documentary content from throughout Atwood’s life. After the simulcast, there will be a special Q&A with Daniel Wilson, County Theater member and Producer of 'The Handmaid's Tale' on Hulu.

The cost to attend is $14 for the screening only; $12 for theater members. A Book Package is available for $47; $45 for theater members.
