$200 Stolen from Unlocked Home, Attempted Burglaries in Edgewood

- Police responded to a burglary on Lacrosse after a resident was awakened by a loud noise and found the rear kitchen door open. An unknown person entered the home, took $200 in cash, house and car keys and a debit card.

- Police responded to an animal complaint after a dog was seen sitting in a parked car near Eat’n Park. The owner was found and then left.
- Police responded to a retail theft at Giant Eagle. Lavonne Powell was found to have two prior convictions and was taken to Allegheny County Jail.
- Police responded to a verbal domestic call at Applebee’s.
- Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a call in which a man was threatening another man with a gun on Lawrence.
- Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a disturbance call after a family had been arguing about the Mayweather fight on TV. All advised.
- Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a DUI arrest after Dontay Littlejohn had a .076 percent blood alcohol content after a breath test and also was DUI suspended.

- Jeff Mellon was cited for retail theft after he attempted to take $17 in mineral water from Giant Eagle and later became combative after security stopped him.
