Camp Bow Wow Opening East End Location

The dog days of summer aren’t here yet, but don’t tell that to the dogs who will be enjoying the good life—just in time for the summer travel season—at the newest Pittsburgh location of Camp Bow Wow,^® located at 1325 Washington Blvd. in Highland Park.

Open House Weekend runs from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10. Camp Bow Wow is the largest pet services company in the nation with 115 locations. With Highland Park and three other local facilities in the North and South Hills, Pittsburgh now becomes the company’s largest market, both in number of locations and in number of dogs served.  During the grand opening celebration on Saturday June 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., pooches and their parents will get a chance to tour the many amenities of the Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp^® and enjoy prizes (including one free year of services), dogs games, food and fun.

Camp Bow Wow will also donate $10 to its new neighbor, the Animal Rescue League, for every dog interview scheduled. During the day, dogs from both the Animal Rescue League and the Western PA Humane Society will be available for adoption. The new facility features several proprietary features that are unique to the Camp Bow Wow franchise, including Certified Camp Counselors^®with a 15:1 camper to counselor ratio, spacious cabins and a large outdoor play area as well as live online Camper Cams. ^®, Akin to the “nanny cam”; the Camper Cam gives dog owners the opportunity to check on their dog throughout the day online. During the tour, visitors can also check out the cabins for overnight stay that offer doggy turn down service with a bone night cap.
