Edgewood Council Hires Part-Time Officers, Recreation Coordinator

Council met last night for its regular meeting.

Council met Monday for its regular session, approving three new hires that included two police officers and a recreation coordinator.

Joseph Tomko and Matthew Bissell were approved as part-time police officers while Meghan Slavic was hired as the part-time recreation coordinator for the borough.

A representative from the Edgewood Foundation told council members that this year's Newcomer's Reception will be held Aug. 17 for new neighbors in the area. The foundation also held its annual Sunday brunch for Edgewood's high school seniors this past weekend. Nine seniors were honored while 30 people attended.
