Edgewood Police: Assist Swissvale with Shooting, Crack Cocaine Found

June 18
- Police responded to a retail theft incident at after an unknown woman stole $241 worth of DVD’s, which were later recovered from the Towne Center area.
- A suspicious person was reported at Edgewood Towne Center, running around while carrying a leopard print women’s purse. He was gone before police arrived.
- reported a man who has been banned from the store trespassed onto property.
- Two men reportedly tried to pay for a meal at with stolen gift cards. The meal cost $21.62. They were gone before police arrived.
- reported a theft incident after an employee had his Samsung Galaxy S2 stolen from the back of the store. It is valued at $400.
- A woman reported that a decorative bike was stolen from her yard.
June 19
- Police assisted on a medical call.
- Planet Fitness reported a suspicious male who hangs around overnight asking for money and rides from people leaving the gym. His membership to the gym was previously revoked.
- Police responded to a dispute at C.W. Price over a return.
- Police responded to a report of wires down near Edgewood and Maple. Duquesne Light responded and removed the wire.

- Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers on Trenton Avenue for a group of juveniles causing a disturbance. Nine juveniles were arrested after multiple calls were made.
June 21
- A resident on Walnut found a gun in their yard, which was found to be stolen from the Robinson Township area.
- Two vehicle accidents occurred in the Giant Eagle parking lot.
- Police assisted on a medical call.
- Police responded to a harassment call at Eat’n Park.

- Police assisted on a medical call.
- Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a shooting on Woodstock in relation to a recent Braddock shooting. They also later assisted North Braddock police in an incident in which a man related to the same shooting barricaded himself in his home, reportedly shooting at police.
- A Giant Eagle employee found a wallet that contained crack cocaine and turned it into police. A man’s name was found in the wallet. Police called him and he didn’t respond.
- An Elmer Street resident reported that he hears local children trying to open his back doors and windows.
- Police responded to a suspicious vehicle report at Walnut and Hawthorne. Two people were talking in a car for a long period of time and were asked to leave.
June 24
- Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a  domestic dispute involving a mother and daughter.
- Police responded to a neighbor dispute on East End over property damage.
- Police responded to Koenig Field—after the building was secured, a broken shattered mirror was found along with a brick on the floor.
