Get Out: Pancake Breakfast, Howl-O-Ween and Farmers Market

11th Annual Pancake Breakfast at Beulah Church

When/Where: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 12 at Beulah Presbyterian Church, 4500 McCrady Road, Churchill.

Why Go: The menu includes buttermilk, buckwheat and gluten-free pancakes, and the morning will feature a special performance by the Beulah Praise Band.

Admission: $6 for adults and teens, $3 for children under 12. Proceeds will benefit the Beulah missional outreach fund. For information: 412-242-4570 or beulahpresby.org.

Forest Hills Farmers Market

When/Where: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church parking lot, 1840 Ardmore Boulevard, Forest Hills.

Why Go: Come and enjoy the fresh produce, artisan breads, freshly prepared pierogies, berries, pasta and organic fare. Plus, meet the local farmers who bring healthy food options. The market is run by the Forest Hills Late Bloomers Garden Club. 

Admission: Free. 

Animal Friends Howl-O-Ween

When/Where: noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at Vietnam Veterans' Pavilion - Overlook Drive, Schenley Park. 

Admission: $20 one pet, $25 two or three pets. Register here. 

Native Plant Propogation

When/Where: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 12 at Frick Environmental Center.

Why Go: Learn how to collect and grow native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers from seed or cuttings to replant and repopulate your EcoSteward site.
