Purse Stolen from Unlocked Home, Attempted Carjacking in Swissvale

May 7

  • Police responded to a report of a burglary on Lacrosse. While the resident was in the home on a computer in the kitchen, someone entered through an unlocked front door and took a purse off of a living room table.
  • Police responded to a retail theft incident at Giant Eagle after someone took $22 in food. The store is handling the incident.
  • Police responded to a suspicious incident  at Giant Eagle between a father and son. The case was referred to CYS.
  • Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Trenton. Nothing was found.

  • Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers with a domestic dispute report.
  • Police responded to a false alarm at Total Pet.
  • Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers with a fight on Rebecca between a group of juveniles.
  • Police responded to a report of theft from a vehicle on Lloyd.
  • Change was taken from another vehicle on Lloyd which had its doors unlocked.
