
Two students from were the Wolverine Spirit Awardees in April.
Senior Mario Scaramouche was nominated by his teacher, Matthew Rodrigues.
“Mario is the most decorated rifle marksmen in Woodland Hills’ history," he said. "As captain, he led the rifle team to the WPIAL Championship and to a Silver Medal at the PIAA State Finals. Mario is in the top one percent of his class academically."

Maddie Marcelle, also a senior, was the second award winner of the night. She was nominated by head swim coach Brad Nepa.
“Maddie strives to be the very best swimmer she can be every time she competes," Nepa said. "She has broken her own 100 breast stroke record three times. At the PIAA Swim Finals, she finished eighth in the state. As a team captain, she provided leadership by example and mentored younger swimmers. She also excels academically, is in the National Honor Society, and was selected for Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.”

Acting Superintendent Mr. Alan N. Johnson presented certificates and Barnes and Noble gift cards to the Wolverine Spirit Award winners.
