Wilkinsburg Man Injured in Shooting

Police determined the incident was an attempted home invasion.

Wilkinsburg police were dispatched to Montier Street around 9:50 p.m. Monday in response to 911 calls about a shooting incident, according to Allegheny County Police.

Police found a young male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the scene.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the occupants of the home were the intended targets of a home invasion robbery. The male occupant had shot one of the would-be robbers and a second robber had fled the area on foot.
