Aqua Replacing Water Mains On 2 Haverford Roads

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A multi-million dollar water infrastructure improvement project is underway in Haverford Township.
Aqua Pennsylvania is working on a $2.1 million project aimed at improving service reliability for customers throughout the Main Line.
In Haverford, crews are working to replace 4,849 feet of aging 4-, 6- and 16-inch water mains with new 6-, 8- and 16-inch ductile iron water mains.

Mains are being replaced on West Chester Pike between Manoa and Township Line roads, and on Vernon Road between West Chester Pike and the end of cul-de-sac on Vernon Road
The work is expected to be completed by April, weather permitting.

Final road restoration is expected to be completed in the summer of this year, pending PennDOT and township coordination.
The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
