"The unofficial start to summer may be Memorial Day for many- but for Delco it’s the Summer Concert Series in Rose Tree Park and we are thrilled to be kicking off this year’s concert series next week," Delaware County Council Vice Chair Elaine Schaefer said. "We are proud to have an excellent parks system where our residents can enjoy outdoor recreation, sports, festivals, charity events, and family outings. Thank you to Parks and Recreation Director Marc Manfre and his team for the extraordinary work and effort they put into planning and hosting this festival each year. These free concerts feature some incredible acts in an absolutely beautiful setting, and I encourage residents to enjoy them this summer."
New this year are two nights of theatrical presentations from Hedgerow Theatre - a musical on July 20 called "The World According to Snoopy," and the Shakespearean comedy "Twelfth Night" on Aug. 11.
Attendees can bring blankets and chairs for seating and may bring food.
