Free Electronics Recycling Event June 25 In Haverford

Items accepted include computer equipment, printers, scanners, tablets, cell phones, telephones, keyboards, speakers, and more.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township residents later this month will be able to recycle various electronics and appliances, all for free.

The township is partnering with local non-profit PAR-Recycle Works to offer the free services from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the Haverford Municipal Complex, 1014 Darby Road.

PAR-Recycle Works workers deconstruct the items and separate them into their major components.

When necessary, they erase all data from hard drives before selling components to environmentally responsible downstream processors.

PAR-Recycleworks hires formerly incarcerated men and women to recycle used electronics ;to restore lives by providing job training and transitional paid employment in a supportive environment, and ensures e-waste is re-used and re-purposed to protect the environment.
