Haverford Hosting Free E-Waste Recycling Event Next Month
Residents for free can recycle computer equipment, printers, scanners, tablets, cell phones, telephones, keyboards, speakers, and more.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township is offering residents an opportunity to recycle their used electronics for free next month.
The township is teaming up with PAR-Recycleworks, a local not-for-profit, which hires formerly incarcerated men and women, for a used electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Haverford Municipal Complex.
PAR-Recycle Works collects all computer equipment, printers, scanners, tablets, cell phones, telephones, keyboards, speakers, gaming systems, fax machines, DVD players, VCRs, chargers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, microwaves, computer monitors, small appliances, and TVs. Console and large projection TV models are not collected by PAR-Recycle Works.

Workers deconstruct the items received and separate them into their major components. And, when necessary, they erase all data from hard drives before selling components to environmentally responsible downstream processors.
