Haverford Road Closing For Tree Removal Work: PennDOT

A portion of Marple Road in Haverford Township will be fully closed to accommodate tree removal work, PennDOT said. See the detour here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A road in Haverford Township will close fully next week due to tree removal work, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said Marple Road will be closed on Aug. 28 to facilitate the tree removal operations.

Marple Road is closing between Darby Creek and Darby roads.

Drivers will encounter the closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Darby Road, Sproul Road/Route 320, and Marple Road, PennDOT said.

Local access will be maintained.

Drivers are should allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
