Major SEPTA Funding Announcement Coming Wednesday
Sen. John Fetterman, Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, and others will be on hand to announce a major funding boost for SEPTA's Market-Frankford Line.

UPPER DARBY, PA — Major investments into SEPTA will be announced later Wednesday during a news conference in Delaware County.
At noon Wednesday Federal Transit Administration Administrator Nuria Fernandez will be joined by Sen. John Fetterman, Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Michael Carroll, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker and more.
They will discuss efforts by the Biden-Harris Administration to modernize and improve transit service in the city – and throughout the country– resulting in significant improvements for riders.

Action News reports SEPTA will be getting a $317 million grant that will allow the transit authority to replace 200 railcars on the Market-Frankford Line.
More details on the funding will be announced later Wednesday.
