Monet Reilly Commits Time To Haverford Civic Engagement
Money Reilly spends her time with the Women's Democratic Club of Delaware County, the Haverford Democratic Committee, and more civic groups.

HAVERFORD-HAVERTOWN, PA — Without community leaders, Haverford-Havertown wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.
Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.
This submission comes from Sarah McCafferty, a Haverford-Havertown reader who nominated Monet Reilly.

What does this community leader do?
Monet is an advocate and volunteer who has dedicated a lot of time to making a difference in education, equity, and building community. Monet is one of the founders of the BIPOC Parents of Haverford Township. They donated thousands of books featuring diverse characters to school libararies and organized a Trunk or Treat with the Haverford Police Department to make sure there was a safe Halloween event during the COVID pandemic.
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Monet works to improve our community. Some people notice problems or areas for improvement, but Monet takes action to do something about it! Monet founded Mirrors in Education to support teachers by providing resources, community and professional development to educators of color in PA public school districts. Monet has also been active in many volunteer community groups including the Women's Democratic Club of Delaware County, the DEI Committee of the Haverford Democratic Committee, organizing school supply drives, and fostering cats and kittens in need of homes.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
Monet is currently running to be on the Haverford Township Board of Commissioners in Ward 9. When elected, her advocacy and work ethic will be a huge benefit to everyone in the township.
