New Electronic Waste Disposal Bin In Haverford

The township recently opened an electronic waste disposal bin for residents to get rid of household electronic waste safely.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents in Haverford Township have a new way to get rid of outmoded, non-functional, and unwanted electronics.

An electronic waste disposal bin is now open for residents to use in the parking lot of the township administration building, 10124 Darby Road in Havertown.

Items accepted in the bin should be small, with the township saying to keep items no larger than a breadbox.

Small appliances, electronics, gaming systems, and anything with a cord that can fit through the chute will be accepted.

Do not place items such as large appliances, microwaves, televisions, monitors, or air conditioners in the bin.

The box is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

PAR–Recycleworks is working with the township to do bi-weekly collections at the bins.

The township said if the bin at the administration building is a success, other bins may open around the township.
