HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Fall is in full swing and leaves are starting to pile up in Haverford Township.

And what should residents do with those leaves?

Well, Haverford Township crews will begin residential leaf collections on Halloween.

Starting on Monday, Oct. 31, crews will collect leaves in Wards 1 through 4.

Then the next week, Wards 5 through 7 will have collections.

Leaves in Wards 8 and 9 will be picked up the week of Nov. 14.

Below is the rest of the collection schedule:

  • Week of Nov. 21 — Wards 1 and 2
  • Week of Nov. 28 — Wards 3 and 4
  • Week of Dec. 5 — Wards 5 and 6
  • Week of Dec. 12 — Wards 7 and 8
  • Week of Dec. 19 — Ward 9

Leaves should be out for collection by 6:30 a.m. the Monday of the week your Ward is scheduled for collections.

Residents should not place leaves in bags, as bagged leaves will be collected with trash and not the standard leaf collections.
