Trash Household Hazardous Waste Saturday In Delaware County
See what items are acceptable and what are not at the household hazardous waste collection event in Sharon Hill Saturday.
SHARON HILL, PA — Delaware County is hosting a household hazardous waste disposal event Saturday.
The event is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Emergency Services Training Center, 1600 Calcon Hook Road in Sharon Hill.
Collections are open to residents only and not businesses.

All items must be brought in the original containers and must have lids tightly secured.
There is a 5-gallon drum limit per household.

Registration is required and is available online here.
Drop-offs are by appointment only and will be limited to one vehicle.

- oil-based paints
- oil-based sealers
- paint thinner
- gasoline
- kerosene
- gas/oil mixture
- heating/motor oil
- lead acid batteries
- rechargeable batteries
- lithium batteries
- NiCad batteries
- pool chemicals
- rust/paint remover
- antifreeze
- lawn chemicals
- cleaners/solvents
- mercury thermostats
- mercury thermometers
- Fluorescent tubes
Unaccepted items are:
- electronics
- smoke detectors
- latex paint
- asbestos
- explosives
- gas or propane cylinders
- PCBs
- pressurized CFCs
- tires
- medical waste
- alkaline batteries
