Emergency Alert Issued In PA

An emergency alert was issued Friday afternoon warning that people might not be able to get through by calling 911.

PENNSYLVANIA — A statewide 911 outage has been reported through an emergency alert Friday afternoon.

Authorities said Pennsylvania is currently experiencing a statewide issue with 911 call delivery.

The public is being directed to call 610-635-4300 if they are unable to get through to the Emergency Communications Center via 911.

A statewide EAS message was sent by PEMA to notify the public of the outage.

Numerous law enforcement agencies were reporting the emergency outage.

Residents should check their county's social media and websites for updates.
