Candidate Questions

1. How do you feel about the school district's recent tax hikes?

I am eager to find out where the money is going. Some of the costs I've heard for different repairs throughout the township have seemed very high to me. These are very large amounts, and I'd imagine just a little contractor shopping and oversight would do a lot of good. These prices seem astronomical compared to the numbers I have seen, being in construction my whole life.

2. What educational background do you bring to the position?

I am part owner and CEO of a construction company with roughly 35 employees. I see major value and spend most of my time educating myself on and encouraging teamwork, leadership, accountability, honesty, and company culture. In the case of the school board, I believe, if we want any change, there must be a change to the culture, which would encompass all of the above.

3. What are the biggest challenges facing the school district in the future?

Discipline is lacking in our schools; fights breaking out in the high school and disruptive kids in our elementary schools are robbing our children of a proper education and a safe place to learn, grow, and discover themselves. Ideology from the left has also infiltrated our schools and our children. Our country as a whole is facing a major threat, and our children will bear the brunt of it. It's time we returned to traditional values and be proud of our country again.
