Hatboro Borough Council Hosts Meeting On Future Of Pennypack School

Hatboro borough council will discuss two options for the former Pennypack Elementary School: the school counteroffer and eminent domain.

HATBORO, PA — The local borough council is hosting a special voting meeting Monday evening to discuss the future of the old Pennypack School property.

Hatboro announced that elected officials would be discussing two items at the meeting: the school counteroffer for the purchase of the former school building and the possibility of filing for eminent domain to secure the property.

"As a neighbor of the Pennypack School Property, we encourage you to attend this meeting and participate in the discussion. We also encourage you to invite fellow residents to attend this meeting even if they do not reside near the Pennypack Property," the borough wrote in a letter announcing the meeting that was circulated to the community. "Borough Council would like to obtain as much public feedback as possible on this matter as it affects residents throughout the Borough of Hatboro."

Monday's meeting will take place beginning at 7 p.m. at the Crooked Billet Elementary School, located at 101 Meadowbrook Avenue.
