Hatboro Councilman Pleads Guilty In Pedestrian Accident
Former Council President George Bollendorf appeared before a Hatboro judge for a summons trial after the accident in September.
HATBORO, PA — The case of a pedestrian accident regarding former Hatboro Council President George Bollendorf is now closed following a guilty plea.
Bollendorf, 54, appeared before Hatboro-Horsham District Justice Todd Stephens last Wednesday for a court hearing for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that took place in September, two months before he was re-elected in the November general election.
Police Chief Mark Ruegg said Bollendorf was given a summary traffic citation as a result of the crash investigation.

According to court records, Bollendorf faced a Jan. 7 summary trial before Stephens after being cited for Failure to Yield The Right Of Way to a Pedestrian. He had pleaded not guilty to the summons.
At Wednesday's hearing, the charge was changed to Obedience To Traffic-Control Devices, according to court records. Bollendorf pleaded guilty to that charge.

Patch reached out to Bollendorf, Borough Council President Nicole Reichner, Borough Manager Diane Hegele, and Mayor Tim Schultz seeking comment.
Bollendorf served as council president for eight years before stepping down from the post at the end of the year.
