Hatboro Federal Savings Honored At Borough Council Meeting
The bank has provided annual grants of over $200K to prominent local organizations over the years.

HATBORO, PA - A local Hatboro bank was honored by the borough council at a recent meeting for its strides in supporting residents and business owners with generous grants.
Hatboro Federal Savings, which has operated for over 80 years in Hatboro, was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the boro at its July 17 council/committee meeting. Officials cited the bank’s “outstanding support of Hatboro residents, business owners, and organizations” as just some reasons for the accolade.
“Their generosity continues to positively impact lives within Hatboro and neighboring communities,” the borough said in a statement. “The Borough of Hatboro is extremely grateful for all of their work in making Hatboro a better place to live, work, and play!”

The bank has dolled out annual grants totalling $222,222 to nine local organizations that meet the criteria for Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
The EITC allows tax credits for businesses that contribute to a scholarship, educational improvement or pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.

Recipients of the grants have included: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Buck County; Bucks County Community College Foundation; CB Cares; Centennial Education Foundation; Hatboro-Horsham Education Foundation; Union Library of Hatboro; Upper Dublin Education Foundation; and Upper Moreland Education Foundation.
“Supporting these organizations helps to develop tomorrow’s leaders - whether through special classes, creative outreach programs, or state-of-the-art instructional techniques - we are helping students succeed both now and in the future,” Linda Roehner, CEO of Hatboro Federal Savings, said previously.
Chartered by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in February 1941, Hatboro Federal Savings is headquartered at 221 S. York Rd. and has branch offices in Warminster, Warrington and Jamison.
