Hatboro-Horsham Officials Participate In 'One School, One Book' At Blair Mill Elementary
Local and state officials participated in the 'One School, One Book' reading program recently to kick off Read Across America Day.

HATBORO-HORSHAM, PA — A host of state and local officials turned out recently to participate in Read Across America Day at Blair Mill Elementary School.
The event, which was part of the 'One School, One Book' program, took place on March 2.
Participating guest readers included State. Sen. Maria Collett and State Rep. Todd Stephens, two legislators representing parts of Montgomery County, along with members of the Horsham Township Council, Horsham Township Police and Fire Departments, township library staff, elected members of the Hatboro-Horsham School Board and Superintendent Scott Eveslage and Assistant Superintendent Monica Taylor.

The guests read the first chapter of the One School, One Book selection, "The World According to Humphrey," by Betty G. Birney, to help get students excited for the month of March, during which they will answer daily trivia questions, and be treated to aloud reading by teachers and school district staff.
Read Across America is the country's largest scholastic reading celebration. It was first started back in 1998 by the National Education Association.
