Hatboro Receives PECO Green Region Funding

HATBORO, PA — The borough is getting greener.

The borough has received a $7,500 PECO Green Region Grant funded by Natural Lands to make improvements at the Pennypack Community Center.

Mayor Tim Schutz and Councilman Don Hoover were on hand for a check presentation earlier this week.

Each year, the PECO program awards funding to environmentally friendly projects that aim to preserve, protect, and improve open spaces.

For the 2025 grant round, Hatboro was funded $7,500 for energy-efficient LED lighting upgrades at the Pennypack Community Center.
