HORSHAM, PA — Township emergency crews were called out to Rutledge Avenue on Wednesday to repair a busted water main.

The water main break, which occurred on Rutlege Avenue between Gilman Road and Jenifer Road, was announced by the Horsham Water and Sewer Authority.

The water service said that oftentimes following a water service repair, residents may briefly see discolored water coming out of the taps in their home, but that they should not be alarmed.

"If you experience discolored water, it is recommended that you open a tap in your home (from the lowest level) and allow the tap to run clear," the Horsham Water and Sewer Authority stated.

It should only take a few minutes for the discoloration to dissipate, the agency said.
